I needed to write a bio and didn't know where to start. So, here goes...
Official Bio
Julia Griffin has wanted to be a writer since elementary school, when she wrote a little story, which shall remain nameless, as it is lost somewhere in her house. She has tinkered with writing creatively, over many years. She has written several poems in the Haiku style, some of which have been displayed in church competitions and on the walls of loved ones' homes or her own. Her husband has even written some with her, which was a lot of fun.
She has written several human-interest articles for a religious, regional newspaper as well as a picture-type book about her father, which one of her daughters contributed to and illustrated.
She loves being a wife, mother and grandmother of 14 wonderful grandchildren. She also enjoys giving service in various ways.
Her interests and hobbies include cooking, baking, crafts, sewing, family history, reading fiction and nonfiction, music, art and ballet. In fact, when she was young she wanted to be a ballet dancer, but chose instead to be a school teacher. She was busy raising her and her husband's four children for many years, so writing took a back seat.
Now she is seriously working on an historical western romance, with lots of adventure in it. Waiting in the wings is another historical about two 13-year-old boys, having adventures of their own, in the mountains of Arizona. She is also working on an historical fiction about George Washington.
She lives in Arizona with her best friend and husband.
